Hello guys. This is my system:
CPU: I7 4790 K
GPU: RX480 (Bios upgraded to RX 580 base)
MB : ASUS B85 PLUS
16 GB of RAM
PSU: 750W Green
I'm trying to explain you what is the problem step by step. so be a lil bit patient please.
My main problem with my system is that in some games, especially the newer games that are made by Unreal Engine 4, sometimes when I enter the game, sometimes in the menu, sometimes in the first few minutes, my system crashes. how? :
Suddenly and from 0 to 100, the fans of my gpu start to work like crazy, monitor's screen goes to standby mode, I hear that windows is still working in the background, the game is still working in the background, and no matter what i do, i can do nothing to fix the problem except manually pressing power button and turn the system off and then turning it on again.
And it's not only in UE4 games. Sometimes in other games this happens as well. like ... I am playing normally for an hour or so. nothing happens. it's not a heavy game, fans barly working or working on low, fps is fine etc, but suddenly at the middle of a fight or whenever some special effects like strong fog or flames or magic auroras appear, the system crashes like I described above.
That said, I have absolutely no problem in other games. for example, I can play games like RE8, Forza Horizon 5, the new Spiderman games, god of war, on high or ultra setting for hours. and during playing them fans working with high speed, there's definitely pressure on the system, i might have fps drop, because, well, they are demanding games but in none of these games such crash happens. never.
I'm giving few hints and clues that might or might not help you. so please consider these:
1. if I go to AMD control panel, and in GPU tuning, decrease the frequency of the gpu to like 1080 or 1075, 'sometimes' it helps. in some UE4 games that i couldn't even get in the main menu, I can actually start playing but there's no guarantee that maybe after half and hour of playing, when crazy effects start to appear in a cutscene or at the middle of a battle, the game does not crash. it can happen again. so for example i played Psychonauts (which is made by UE4) that way and through the whole gameplay i had that crash for like 8-9 times but overall could finish the game despite all the crashes. but even by doing that. i still could not past even the main menu of games like Days Gone and latest Sherlock Holmes and getting inside the game.

2. When I bought this system. it had only 8GB ram. 2 x 4gb ram ddr 3 dual channel:
https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Memory/XMS3-—-8GB-(2x4GB)-DDR3-1600MHz-C9-Memory-Kit/p/CMX8GX3M2A1600C9
after a while i decided to increase that to 16 GB. but I could find only one 4gb ram with that same exact model. i found only one of these^
and the other is this:
https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Memory/High-Performance-Memory/Vengeance®-—-4GB-Single-Module-DDR3-Memory-Kit/p/CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9
and as you can see they are both Corsair, 4gb, ddr3 and 1600 mghz. I am not sure if they have other differences.
and I 'THINK' not sure at all. I just 'think' it was shortly after this increase of ram that my crashes started.
anyway they are placed in my slots in this order:

3. My CPU, again, ' I THINK' is overclocked from 4 GH or 4.4 by bios. (if it is, i didn't do it)
4. this is the info CPUZ and GPUZ shows:

So ... any help will be appreciated. if you have more questions feel free to ask and please save me!!! I'm dealing with this crap for years!
