I am looking in the town of Amau'lu for Elderith Wilwaren who is part of
the talk to a ghost quest. I just can't find him his house or whatever.
Where exactly is he please. I feel real dumb.

Also throughout the game I run into square holes in the ground usually with
chests you just can't reach in them. I tried to check everywhere for
buttons levers or me down to it. Help please.

Don't feel dumb, the real dumb part is the quest design....you'll know it
when you do the quests like Lilana's Sorrow and Spirits of Aranna.

If you are talking about the quest of a servent being accused wrongly, and
his nephew wants to clear his name, the spirit is in an "Estate", outside
the south gate. jusr head south and eventually you will reach a circular
archway thingie (just before you reach the remains of the caravan - Princess
Evangline's quest), go down through a series of elevators. You can't do this
quest untill you've solved the Dark Ohms quest.

if you are talking about the Dark Ohms quest (to talk with spirits, which
leads to the Spirits of Aranna quest), you need to talk to the potion shop
keeper in town to start it.

look carefully, there is ALWAYS a button on the wall nearby (inside the
structure). Use the minimap to locate it.

Sorry to be a putz but the holes I am talking about are all outside in the
ground not inside. On the quest end I have done all the hard stuff you
describe just try to find the guy in town to report back to.

There's still always a button/lever/switch/totem/statue nearby which
raises the floor of the hole to ground level. You should use the
mini-map at the bottom right of the screen. Enlarge it, and zoom in,
and then the button/lever/switch/totem/statue will be shown as a blue
dot.

Yeah, damn. Sorry 'bout that. That's what I get for being so terrible
with names. If you're looking for the guy's house who gave you the
quest about clearing the name of the servant (again, no names, sorry
this is so generic), because you've been to the 'mansion' and solved the
case, I think his house is just across the bridge to the south of town.

As others suggested, use the minimap to locate the lever/button/switch. If
it is outside of a structure, most likely you are looking for a totem pole
or a lever hidden in the bush near the hole. Switch to 800x600 resolution
will help you spot the blue dot. If you have an LCD display with fixed
resolution, well, you might have some hard time finding the tiny little blue
dot.

I'm assuming you are talking about the ghost servent's quest.

The nephew of the ghost is near the south gate of Aman'lu. There is a second
part on this quest. you have to expose the real murderer. Talk to the ghost
in his nephew's house (he will appear in the house when you report back to
the nephew) again to get the second part of the quest.
