Hi,

I have 2 x 4GB Corsair 3000Mhz DDR4 Vengeance ram. I would like to upgrade to 16GB.

I have a couple questions about upgrading the ram.

My Specs
AMD Ryzen 5 3600
Gigabyte B450 AORUS M
Corsair 8GB (2x 4GB) 3000Mhz DDR4 Vengeance
ASUS - GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB Cerberus
1TB 860 evo SSD
650W Seasonic FOCUS Plus Gold

Gigabyte gives a few ram support lists on their website… Which list refers to my Ryzen 5 3600?

https://www.gigabyte.com/uk/Motherboard/B450-AORUS-M-rev-10/support#support-doc

My other question was what speed of ram should I get? Obviously the faster the better but can I just buy ram at the top speed of 3600. Why does it have O.C in brackets? Would I have to overclock it myself. Never attempted overclocking and to be honest I don’t think I need to for what I use my pc for.

The website says it supports DDR4 3600(O.C.) / 3466(O.C.) / 3200(O.C.) / 2933/2667/2400/2133 MHz memory modules

Thank you

Ryzen 5 3600 is Matisse.

Best price/performance choice would be 3200mhz. 3000mhz is also ok.
O.C. means overclocking is necessary for ram to operate at this speed. Usually you just have to enable XMP in BIOS.

That's great thank you. Can I just check though would the 3200mhz require me to do anything other than just plug and play?
