a cpu better than i5 6600k in gming

hello guys,
i want to upgrade my pc and a lot of people recommended the i5 6600k for me
but i want something better and i can't choose the i7 6700k since it's not that different than the 6600k so, what should i choose ?

gpu: gtx 1060

resolution: 1080p

You really dont need anything more than a 6600k for gaming, at that point you will be adding more cores/threads which will not be a large benefit.

i want to get above 60 fps in all games on ultra and the i5 6600k can't do that for me

What's your graphic card and target resolution? I suspect this is greatly due to graphic card rather than cpu. Or size of your RAM, which is unlikely.

A 6600k can do over 100fps in most games when paired with the right gpu

what about GTA V , if i use it with gtx 1060 ?

Yeah the 6600k is fine for 60+ in GTA V, most of the time it should be able to do 100+. People use the 6600k when running 144Hz monitors where you want 100fps plus

Look up the benchmarks for the 1060 if you want to see how it does. That CPU won't hold it back
