hey guys, i want to ask the community.
i have an i5 4460 for about 2 years as a gaming machine.
my specs:
i5 4460 @3.2Ghz
ECS H87
8gb OCPC ram
Galax GTX 1060 6GB

i also feel it's bottlenecking my pc on cpu intensive games like GTA V.
the frame rate sometimes goes down a lot

My options are the ryzen 7 2700 and the 2700x.
I'm gonna use my pc for gaming and use it for virtual machine (vmware) i like to try new OS.

which one is worth it ?

i live in indonesia, the price is so close

i'm also thinking about upgrading my power supply to 650w i think.

which one is better ? and a reason please i want to upgrade in a few months.

I agree with others, honestly just buy more ram. Your CPU is not great but its not bad either, its at that point where upgrading it feels like a total waste of money. i have a i5-4470k 3.4 ghz, a bit better than yours, but I certainly won't upgrade it for at least 4 more years (It's been in my comp for 4 years already)

If you are mainly looking at gaming then the 2700X is a much better option, also consider the 2600X or the i5-8600K.

Performance wise they will be on a par so you can base your decision on price.

Any of them will be fine to run a few virtual machines at a time. You need to get more RAM if you intend to run any VM.
16GB or even 32GB, depending on how many VMs at the same time.
