ok so i have this old store bought pc and i was wondring if i could fit a gtx 980Ti in ti I will replace power supply but i want to keep mobo and case and other stuff same I have a amd A10 and yes i know it proforms about the same as an i3 but Thats why i said Crazy Idea My mobo is some randome asus Atx and case is also a asus ! if it cant work or somthing else Please tell me I was just wondring rather that building a brand new pc why not just get a 980ti and save like $1000

It'll work, but total waste of $.

About a 960 is as far as you can go with that without being bottlenecked.

I agree with the above.
That system would be far too unbalanced to support the 980Ti properly. Building a new system (or finding one with an i5) would be the way to go.
