A Dedicated Recording/Streaming PC (question)

Alright guys, I'm looking for your suggestions on what i should be aiming for for building a dedicated PC that is meant to record gameplay from another PC at 1080p 60fps smoothly, as well as ps4 footage when i play it. Also to stream gameplay here and there at the start and maybe consistently in the future. I would also like to start playing VR and record that. And isn't VR is harder on the cpu?

I do know i dont need amazing specs to stream, but i mainly will be using it to record consistently and edit on that pc, so.. Im assuming an i7 would be ideal? 8700? DDR3..4? Etc. What're you guys thinking since i just want 1080p at 60 fps including VR.

So you want a computer to only stream what another computer is doing? Not much needed.

Umm.. I thought i made it pretty clear on the initial post that its mainly being used to record and EDIT everything smoothly... Streaming is an afterthought. And isnt i7 better for video editing and such?

No, it wasn't clear, which is why I asked for clarification. What specs are you using for the gaming computer? It would make more sense to use one computer for all tasks.

Lol. Wasnt clear? It was pretty clear. And no, having a dedicated computer to record gameplay and possibly stream, from another PC or a PS4 in 1080p 60fps (pc that is) will relieve more stress off of the CPU rather than trying to do everything, smoothly, on one machine. Thx for your time.

Ok....what I linked will handle those tasks perfectly fine. Alternately, you could use any 6+ core multithreaded processor in your current computer to handle those tasks without the need for a second computer. Intel just released new CPUs. The 8700k or 9900k would both be great choices as would an AMD CPU from 2600 - 2700x. Using any of those CPUs for JUST recording video and,streaming would be a huge waste. I'm trying to help you out if you will work with me and give me your current computer specs.
