Two months ago, I install Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit edition. Everything worked fine up until a week ago then one day on a cold boot I got a disk read error. :fou: I rebooted, and everything was fine, went right into windows. I thought maybe it was the sata cable, so I replaced it but the same problem was happening. Here are my spec....

AMD Athlon 64 250 (3.0Ghz) dual core
ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO
Crucial Ballistix 4GB DDR3-1600

for storage....

Main HD: WD Caviar 7200rpm SATA 500GB
2nd HD: WD Caviar IDE 80GB
DVDR: Samsung WriteMaster 16x IDE

....the DVD ROM and the 2nd HD are on one chain due to the fact I only have one IDE on the board.

In the BIOS everything is in order, no problems there. It just boggles my mind to know what the issue is, any help from anyone is greatly appreciated.
