So, out of nowhere, my computer (which I was using as a server, but got fed up so I put the 1TB HD in my desktop) started not booting to Windows, and says "A disk read error occurred Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to restart". The only thing I can access is my BIOS setup. The BIOS sees the CD/RW drive, DVD drive, and the SATA HD, but it will not let me boot to a CD. Any ideas?

Just as the error message states, Windows cannot read the disk. However, without knowing the most important part (specs) troubleshooting will be quite difficult.

Sounds like you're saying you removed the HDD from the first computer (server) and installed it into a second computer (desktop). If this is indeed what you did, there could be a conflict from the different hardware registries. Meaning, Windows is trying to read the HDD from computer 1, althought it is in computer 2.

A simple format may take care of the above mentioned dilemma, however, posting your system(s) specs will help further suggestions arise.
