Ever since I installed my new Samsung SSD, I've been occasionally getting boot fails, and a message saying: "A disk read error occurred. Press ALT + CTRL+ DEL to restart.", and I am not sure why. This commonly occurs when I try to restart my computer for a software update, etc. For some reason it will eventually boot up from my SSD after anywhere from 2 reboot attempts, all the way up to 20 reboot attempts, this is all random. Any help? Thanks!

Since you said "new Samsung SSD", the best thing you could do would be to get Samung TS on the phone and have the guide you thru the trouble shooting procedure. If could be driver related ... MS Windows' habit of installing their own HD drivers causes many problems and the best thing you could do there is stop WUs ability to install Hardware drivers. The procedure is well described an tenforums and sevenforums.

After eliminating that troublesome bugaboo, reinstall all the latest hardware drivers from component manufacturers web site. Check the BIOS and make sure AHCI used. This is much less common with newer SSDs but I have had similar problems with Samsung (and other) SSDs where even an in box format has not accomplished...

For reasons I can't explain, doing the format in a HD docking station has worked in many cases, tho sometimes had o run DISKPART first to see any results.
