A few years ago I set up an ethernet LAN at home. So I know how to crimp cable and RJ-

45, etc (no problem about this). Now I know this has changed a bit. I have a WIFI router

COMTREND mod. AR5387un (4 conexiones)10/100 provided to me by my Internet

provider (Jazztel). If I am right, with this router, what I have to do basically is to connect

the three computers I intend to network using cat5e or cat6 cable and with this I'll have

created my network connecting the three computers and with Internet. Do I need anything

else such as a switch?. I'd welcome some website advice, or similar on how to do it (if the

answer is more complex).

The DHCP running on your router will provide the addresses needed to all connected pcs. As long as you have enough ports on your router to connect all your pcs you will be fine. You will only need a switch if there are not enough ports on router. Its pretty simple!
