[SOLVED] a few GTX 1650 questions

hi, a few questions on this card.

1. is the GTX 1650, the strongest card right now that does not need to be directly connected to the psu?

2. is the super version of this card the same? I mean, no direct connection to the psu needed?

The GTX 1650 if using a reference design has a Total Board Power (TBP) of 75W, so reference designs can get all of its power from the slot. However, there may be some manufacturers that push the envelope a little to bring it over 75W.

The GTX 1650 Super has a reference design TBP of 100W, so it requires additional power regardless.

It all depends on which model of the card you get. Some of versions of the 1650 (non-Super) require a 6-pin power adapter.

And yes, the GTX 1650 is the most powerful GPU you can buy that (oftentimes, depends on the model) doesn't need a power connector from your PSU.

GTX 1650 comes in 2 flavours. With GDDR5 and with GDDR6. There are more GDDR5 versions without additional power connector than GDDR6. GDDR6 version performs up to 20% better.
1650 Super only comes with GDDR6 and performs 30-40% better than the non Super.
