I have an amd 64 3500 cpu i want to upgrade but 900 is a bit much for the top fx chip or the dual core chips.my proc is 2.4 gigahertz if i go up to the 4000 plus i only get 1 mb cache increase im not sure what to upgrade to to make it worth upgrading for me without paying a fortune and how much would the dual core processor make a difference over a single core in unreal tournament?

nearly nothing....you will get a little extra fps...but it would be better to upgrade your Gfx card....You dont need $900 for top of the line card...i the US, if you are ouside the US you should list that....

You can get a 7800GTX for liek $440, cheaper then a lot of the Dual core ships you were looking at....Keep your cpu, upgrade your GFX card...and you are good to go

In your specs you mentioned nothing about your video card. It looks like you don't have socket 939, which means you don't have PCI-express. This limits what type of upgrade you can do on your video card; Therefore, you may have no choice but to upgrade your motherboard and CPU in order to upgrade your video card. If you're happy with the current video card you have, then there's no need for you to upgrade the CPU.
