A Few Questions From a New PC Builder

I'll be asking a few questions. They will be numbered for easy following! I've checked the forums and couldn't find a specific answer for my questions, so here it is!

1)

For UK users, which are the best sites to buy PC parts from? I've currently built a list of what I need and want but Amazon UK seems expensive compared to the US prices, if exchange rates are anything to go by.

2)

Will my decently large desktop PC case be sufficient to use to build my gaming PC in? I'm trying to save where I can. (I won't be using anything else from this PC, as it's pretty dated.)

3)

As a mainly RPG gamer; will the Sapphire AMD R9 380 Nitro Graphics Card & Intel Core Skylake Processor i5-6500/3.2 GHz with 8GB RAM be sufficient to run newer RPG's like Witcher 3, Fallout 4 and so on with decent settings? (I'm not overly fussed about having 40,000FPS, though I'd definitely like more than 30 on average)

4)

Running these RPG's... Will it require a cooling unit for the processors/graphics? I won't be playing higher than 1080p.

5)

If yes to 4, can anyone send me in the right direction to a good cooling fan. Preferably a quiet one.

That's all for now I believe.

Things To Know:

- My budget is around £600 (£650 at a push)
- On Amazon, my list of Processor, Graphics, RAM, Motherboard, Hard Drive and Power Supply has roughly come to £540.

Which leads me to another question actually

- Do I need anything else? (Aside from a case) I found this list online and I'm new to all this so I'm not sure on all the tech I need. Anything that boosts performance for a small fee will be good to note!

Thanks to all that decide to help. I apologise in advance for any grammar mistakes or punctuation mistakes that may be present. If you require any more details, do let me know.

[edit] with a bit of digging, I've managed to find the graphics card for £70 cheaper from an apparently trusted source.

The best site to build a PC is http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/ here you can find and build the PC you want and get best price.

Went a bit overboard but trust me this build will meet your requirements perfectly. If you still want to limit your budget go for cheaper CPU fan and replace it in future as per your requirements.

Might want to go ahead and grab a Z170 board to go with the CPU, no sense getting the K class chip if you aren't going to use it. i5-6500 would be better match.

GTX970 may not be the best choice. The GTX1070 should be out within a month.

Yep even I was thinking it to be bit foolish but then I thought he can change mobo in future but now I think even that is foolish. Will change the setup.

Even with this cooler you can OC to some extent. If you want better clock speed in future you can spend a bit and go for better cooler.

Solution

Thanks a lot! I probably won't overclock too much if I'm honest! I just need a machine that will perform my games well in 1080p haha! This build, though a little more expensive, seems perfect! I'll do the extra saving. :)

Yes do some extra savings and enjoy smooth gaming at 1080p

All the best for your build.
