I just have a few questions on this build: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/jtfxhM

Im new to making computers so yeah sorry.

Firstly, will I have to apply any thermal paste when making it because I am scared of going wrong with it. So basically does the CPU come with a heat sink attached and also is there anywhere else that will need thermal paste?

Also do I need to wear anything to stop me getting electrocuted when making it because I dont want to get electrocuted to death when making the computer.

Also do i need a case fan or CPU cooler

Thanks guys

Solution
On the stock cooler there is paste applied, all you have to do is install the CPU and put the cooler on it, no need to apply paste yourself or worry about it. You can't get electrocuted unless you plug your PSU in the power outlet, which my guess is you won't do while assembling the PC. You don't need a cpu cooler, stock is enough, case fan, you could buy one read 120mm fan, but anything more than that is not really needed (frankly speaking you can skip the rear one as well).

Solution

  • ■The CPU heatsink will already have thermal paste applied. All you do is peel the protective tape off it and mount the heatsink.
■The computer should not be plugged in when assembling so there's no reason to get electrocuted.
■The N200 case has a fan front and rear which is enough to start with. You can add a fan ot two later if needed.
■The CPU comes with a cooling fan you can use that will work just fine.

Just make sure your not statically charged. Don't work on it on a carpet. Look up ESD, its not that much to be worried about so long as your a little careful. Touch the case to ground yourself for a few seconds before touching the electronics just to be safe. Never vacuum the PC.
