A few questions regarding Windows 10.

I have a few questions, firstly I have Windows 10 Home, I was wondering if it's worth upgrading to Pro or is it mostly not needed? To be honest I don't really see that I'd need the extra features, only I've noticed that some seem to recommend Pro since you can put off updates for a little while. It's not cheap to upgrade though, and the only cheap keys I see online are OEM ones that may not even be trusted.

Because I have upgraded to 10 from 7 Retail, does that mean my license on 10 is also now Retail meaning I can upgrade my PC and use the same activation key?

One other thing, I just did a Windows 10 update and am not seeing anything listed under update history for some reason, does anyone know why?

Thanks.

Don't upgrade to Windows 10 Pro, it isn't worth it. The price is big, and you don't get much more features.

Unless you really, really need the extra Pro features, don't bother.
No performance difference.

Retail? Yes.
Whether a reactivation after hardware change is automatic or not is a different question. But if it fails, a call to MS should clear it up.

History? Nothing shows?
I just updated my main system to the latest release, 1607, and that is all it shows.
"Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB3176929)"

Thanks for the replies.

To USAFRet, no nothing shows under Update history and I'm getting the same message as Colif, it simply says: No updates have been installed yet. Even though I have installed updates before, and now the Anniversary update too.

The anniversary update is a fresh install of win 10 without having to reinstall anything. It even creates windows.old like the 1st upgrade to win 10 did. and it creates a 350mb partition which I had seen but didn't realise was new (i should have since i only had 1 partition on my ssd until then).

That is why no updates show, there aren't any (unless you use defender).
