Solution
1. What Dunlop said.
2. Download and install them in your OS
3. Same as 2
4. Shouldn't
5. By reset do you mean reload the OS? If so, then you shouldn't need to unless it is corrupt
6. It might be running at 60 degrees celsius on idle. What cooling solution are you using? Do you have thermal paste on the cpu?
7. Same question for number 3, but this can be accomplished a few different ways. Either in bios, or through software in your OS.
8. Yes. The bios is part of the motherboard.
1) The memory controller inside the cpu. On older pc's it was on the northbride of the motherboard.
2) http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4716#dl
3) You flash the firmware. Which I would not reccomend you do unless you have a good reason.
4) No.
5) Reset your pc? Like do a clean install of the OS? No you shouldn't have to.
6) Probably becuase it is, which is not very good.
7) Why do you need to? Its in your manual it varies by motherboard.
8) It comes with a BIOS that should work in its default config, yes.

Would a "good reason" be that half of my RAM slots work?

I'm using a heatsink and thermal paste that came with the CPU. It only runs at 60 on idle when the computer is on for a little more than 20 minutes. Otherwise it's around 50-55. Also, my CPU never came with any padding under the pins in the box. I'm worried that the CPU may have gotten rustle up a bit during shipment and became internally damaged. My symptoms include random system hanging, half of RAM slots working ( most likely not motherboard I tested on two), and running at high idle temps like I said. RMA the CPU, Mobo, RAM, or all of them?
