A few quick questions

Hello everyone,

I have a few quick questions,

My graphic card died a few days ago. It started with vertical blue stripes on startup
and now it doesnt even get recognised.
verdict: broken?

On the look for a new card, my eye felt on the Asus EAH4870/htdi/1GD5 wich is from what i read here worth its money.

But will it fit on my Foxconn G31mxp-k motherboard? I read somewhere this is a bit difficult.
Is this correct?

Any help would be much appreciated

I just checked my PSU and its only 400 watt. Whats the concequece of this?
And what kind of PSU would you recommend?

A seasonic 500W isnt very expensive and is very good quality. If you dont have a strong enough PSU you have a couple options, the card wont get enough power and wont perform well, the PSU will auto shutdown whenever you play a game, or you will have a firecracker go off in your case and need to buy a new PSU and possibly other components too.

Its also 80+ Bronze so it passed 100% load with really good efficiency at all load levels.

Tnx for the advise!

The PSU i have now is only a few days old so i should be able to swap it.

At the moment im still playing at a 19inch crt.

A few days ago i had to replace my PSU.
The store placed a 400watt PSU, but i have looked it up and the original PSU was
450 watt.

Can the change of PSU from a 450 to 400 have damaged my graphics card? Cause my graphics card went to pieces a few days after the new PSU.
