a folder missed in the hard disk

i have a 500 gb hard disk i have created four partition .when i started my pc whille starting it said (recovering and scaning g drive) when i opened that drive i lost a folder which is of 84 gb and i am un able to find it .........i have seen in hidden but it was not there .........but it shows the same memory ie 96 gb used and 12gb left .............what i should do to get that folder back please help me

Try using a free file recovery tool. Google it and you'll find a couple.
