A G-Sync or 4k Monitor?

Im fairly confused as to what the deal with g sync and 4k i. Which is better, or can they both perform as good as each other certain situations?

Not an expert, but 2 different things.

4k is the resolution, and G sink makes the picture look good. stops tearing

I'm pretty sure you can get a Gsink, 4K monitor.

Tested both side by side, bought the 4K.
