A Good 1440p monitor for gaming and work?

That monitor specifically is not really for gaming. For a bit more future proof gaming have a look at the 27" 1440p 144hz monitors. I actually just got one of these babies and was very impressed with its performance in games and has crystal clear picture in windows:

In the link below, I see it is just over 350quid which is over your price range, but for almost any game it makes a huge difference in smoothness and is worth it.

if you only have 250 then that screen you picked is OK and will work, but in FPS games the world is moving to 144hz and i would recommend investing in a good screen as you most likely will keep it for long.

Thanks for the answers. I chose to buy it. I can see what you are saying about investing for the long run but don't really have the money. 60Hz is fine for a couple of years anyhow as the resolution means most games won't be getting much beyond that anyway, even with my 390x.
