The extra $10 is well worth it for a CPU that's pretty much equivalent to the Ryzen 2600 and if gaming will easily outperform that Athlon 3000G.

Wildcard999 build is the way to go if thats all the money you have and gaming is important.

Going from a 2c/4t cpu to a 6 cores/12 threads CPU will be H U G E!

Athlon 3000 is more for very basic office tasks.

If you can't find the R5 1600AF then i guess the second very good option will be the:
