A good cheap graphic card to replace 9600 GT

i'm new here
i like to play new games and crysis 3 came out.
it needs directx 11 gpu and i have directx 10 card.
i'm looking for a nice cheap directx 11 card.
i have mp-a2am-hd3 motherboard and i don't know which graphic card would fit into it.

radeon hd 7750 is definitely your best option for that price range but hd 6670 gddr5 is ok and the geforce gt 640 is kind good too for that price

GT 640 DDR3 is equal to the Radeon 6670 GDDR5 in performance. There's not much reason to get it so long as the Radeon 6670 is cheaper. GT 640 GDDR5 and GTX 650 are both about the same (GTX 650 is just an up-clocked GT 640 GDDR5) and are both a little slower than the Radeon 7750 GDDR5 (almost all Radeon 7750s have GDDR5 instead of DDR3) and are also usually not any cheaper, so they're usually a poor choice too.

I'm not knocking you for the suggestions and they're good suggestions. I'm just giving a somewhat comprehensive examination of the viability of each option.

Regardless of what video card you purchase, you will not be playing Crysis 3 on an AMD X2 5000+ at any sort of acceptable framerate at any resolution, except maybe 640 x 480.

your proc is under the min spec (just slightly). It is probably time to build a whole new PC unluckily

and would ddr3 with 2gb or 1 gb gddr5 better?

1GB of GDDR5 will be faster than 2GB DDR3.

GDDR5 has much more memory bandwidth at any given frequency than DDR3 and usually hits much higher frequencies for up to several times more memory bandwidth. I'd take 512MB of GDDR5 over any amount of DDR3 for a Radeon 6670 where even 1GB of graphics memory isn't going to really be used anyway.

Basically, go for 1GB of GDDR5. Ignore DDR3 regardless of its capacity.

Buy a used 460 GTX and you'll still be able to use some of your budget money towards a new processor, probably a used Phenom II. Count in what you'll get after selling the 9600 and the Athlon. Totally feasible. Ask if used parts were overclocked (you don't want that).
