I've been using my current PC for 4 years now I have the money to invest into a better one that will support the latest technologies like 4K and VR. The PC will be in my small bed room so it will have to be good at keeping cold, What are your ideas for a build at this price range?(Posting your PC Part Picker links will be good as well)

Well considering it is prebuilt, it's probably a H81 or bravo series. Doubt it it is a Z97 or something like that. So upgrading to an I7-4770 would be good. Your memory is good as most games tend not to use over 8GB. But if you are...
This is probably dumb overkill, but this will give you the best of the best of the best. It will allow you to handle any game, and simply blow it away. Again, I still suggest using your old PC and upgrading it instead, but I'm all about saving money when I can.

My current PC is a Lenovo that I have upgraded over 4 years.
Video Card: GTX 960 strix
Processor: Intel I5-4430 @ 3.00 GHz
RAM: 12 GB (not sure of the brand or anything ells)
Power supply: thermal take 600w power supply
Hard drive: 1TB (not sure of the brand)
as far as mother board and coolers go I have no idea as I bought it pre-built.

Your memory is good as most games tend not to use over 8GB. But if you are planning to do VR, you may want upgrade your memory to 16GB (32 for future proof). Throwing the 1080Ti tha tI meant earlier will give you amazing results as well. Putting in a SSD +HDD combo will also help. But without knowing the size of the case, not sure which GPU could fit. Is it a small form factor, or mid-size?
