a good IPS screen - shall i go for Samsung 9 series?

I want to get an IPS monitor for consistency and better viewing from different angles. I mean its rather stupid and frustrating when having spent lots and lots of money on hardware and software as well as spending hours on hours on designs only to realise that the colour on the screen doesn't match to the print (significantly different) and even different to other peoples standard screens/phones, and all because the viewing angle was slightly off on the LCD screen and/or the screen contrast and brightness was incorrect! Arrrgh!

So could someone recommend a good IPS screen? Is the Samsung 9 series high res screen any good (it is calibrated!) or should I go for a Dell?

My budget is around GBP 500 / $800.

Some advise on using IPS and monitor settings? Is my problem typical when using an LCS screen?

LCDs are typically cheaper than other types, such as led or ips. I don't think you can expect much from it. Otherwise there is usually a button underneath the screen to access the monitor menu. From there it is up to you to choose the settings you think look best

It isn't ips. The monitor I posted is among the best you can get at that price point.
