i'm gonna build a mitx pc, and i'm gonna game on it (just a little; only the main titles)
and i'm gonna water cool them.
they don't have to be feature full, and it's gonna be in a closed case without windows, so no temp displays,
i don't mind my sound to be a bit noisy;
but i want it to last long, and to not expensive;

My PC is:

Silverstone Sugo SG05 MITX case (includes 450 Watt PSU)
Intel i5 3330S
Antec Kuhler 620 water cooler
250Gb Samsung 840 SSD
1Tb laptop harddrive (I forget which make, it's a Samsung, I think)
ASRock B75 MITX motherboard
8Gb DDR3 1600 Corsair Vengeance low profile RAM
Sapphire Radeon 7850

It's good for most games in very high, some newer high end games I have to drop to high, that's at 1080p. Swap the Ivybridge processor and motherboard for the Haswell equivalents and you'd be good to go.

If you want to save money and only want the basics you could ditch the SSD entirely + also swap the i5 for an i3, that would save you a couple hundred pounds.

Hope this gives you some ideas :)
