Do you think that the GPU GTX 970 works with Z87 1150?
Yes, it'll work just fine. Believe me, you can trust what Blackbird says.
EDIT: Whoops, you said Z87, not Z97. I can still say with confidence that the 970 will work on any board with that chipset, though.
So, there will not be any problem if I install the GPU on the Z87? I just want to be sure if the Mobo has everything to support the GTX 970, and if it fits well (not too big).
Well, here's the thing...
You say "Z87", but, I can't really give you the answer to that question because that's not enough information. "Intel Z87" is a chipset, not an exact motherboard model. There are lots of motherboards with that chipset. The only reason I said what I did is because most modern motherboards include at least one PCI-E x16 slot, which GTX 970 uses.
Here's an *example* of a motherboard that would work with your 4770 and GTX 970.

As far as clearance issues (physical size of the card) what you should be worrying about more is the size of the case you'll be putting everything in rather than the size of the motherboard. I looked up the exact model 970 you've picked out and determined that it's 275mm long. It is, thus, bigger than my card, and my card is pretty dang big...
So, don't worry about the motherboard, believe me the 970 will fit just fine in both of them. Just make sure you get a case large enough where your GPU will fit in it. I don't know how that card will stack up against mid-tower ATX since I'd have to see it in person to know that. If you're really unsure about clearance issues, getting a full-size ATX would probably be fine.
One more thing - I'd go with Blackbird's suggestion for a motherboard, since you can find it cheaper than the one I listed. It also has the new Z97 chipset, which there are a few nice perks to getting.
All the best.
