So my friend wants to build a gaming pc and have ordered most of the components but the motherboard as it has not meet release date and has been delayed (msi 970 gaming) the case he chose was the coolermaster 690 iii but has gone over budget any case with great build quality that you guys can recommend

specs of the pc

amd fx 8350 black edition
r9 270x oc sapphire
8gb g skill 2100mhz ram
1tb wd caviar blue hard drive
corsair cxm 650 watts
samsung dvd writer 24x

Solution
No, that board is not. Most of MSI's AMD boards are horrible. That board has no heatsink for the VRM's and only 4+1 phase power. The board I listed has 8+2 phase just like it's more expensive cousin, the 990FXA-UD3.
Btw, it's AM3+, not AM3. AM3 was the previous generation socket.

This is a good MB. I ordered one for my FX-8350: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157479
If that is too much $, the MSI Gaming is available now: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130790&cm_re=msi_gaming_970-_-13-130-790-_-Product

The HAF 912 is a great case for the money. Excellent room inside for all sorts of cooler options, radiators, lots of cable management room, removable drive cage, etc. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119233&cm_re=haf_912-_-11-119-233-_-Product
I have my FX-8350 in one.

The Coolermaster Haf 932 seems to be a great option but it does not seem to have usb 3.0 and the asrock motherboard is over budget and the msi 970 gaming is not available in the uk at the moment :-( any other motherboards in the price range of 80 to 96 dollars (£50/£60)

Thanks alot for replying do you think it would be the best as the first choice was the msi 970 gaming but it is not in stock and scan does not know when it will be back in stock do you think this motherboard is good enough

Thanks that gigabyte does seems like the best one after you mention 8+2 phase as the compents should last longer due to not much heat and will generally last longer 🙂 do you think the coolermaster 932 is a good case too

Thanks alot for the help i think the haf 932 and gigabyte motherboard will be the best option any tips for first time builders 🙂 Thanks again for the help
