A Good upgrade from geforce gt 740?

I'd like to know if anyone has suggestions for me from upgrading from my EVGA Geforce gt 740 sc ddr3 4gb?

Im on a budget of $150 for one so please let me know thanks.

If you hurry, you can get a refurbished GTX 1050 from Newegg for a few bucks more.

Next best would be the GTX 750 Ti, RX 550, or GT 1030 in roughly that order.

I have to assume you have an adequate CPU, and that you want to use this for gaming, and that 1080p would be preferable if possible.

In that case there's good news and bad news. Good news is that a DDR3 740 is a terrible card for gaming. So any relatively recent entry level gaming card will be a large step up for you. The bad news is prices are high for just about every kind of card right now, new or used.

So, I agree with clutchc, a GTX 1050/GTX 750 Ti would be the two best. The 550 and 1030 are a level below that but still superior to what you have, and worthwhile upgrades.
