I have a intel dualcore, 4gb of ram, a 500W PSU and soon a 120 ssd, windows 7 and a graphics card. My first GPU actually haha.

Does any these components (cpu, ram...) matter when it comes to the performance of this card?

A friend told me that a 2gb gpu will not work on my pc. I mean, I know 2gb Gpu are for things like higher resolutions and the Antialiasing stuff, but only that.

Thanks in advance to everyone

Hello... Yes a faster CPU will give you better performance, but that card is a good start for future upgrading and is a Good keeper for a while.
That graphics card is going to be bottle-necked by that old of a system but its still better then nothing.

usally only cpu and power supply matter

I'm going to install a 64bit win7 home premium when the ssd (maybe along with the card) arrives.Whoa I actually didn´t know gpu memory was affected by that too. I thought it was just RAM haha

Hahaha. I know that it will work, but I want to know if the performance is going to be considerably worse.
