I have a friend that is offering a 6700k for 250 bucks. never oc and 3 months old. would you hop on it. i was lookin at ram and mobo and i was looking at the z270 SLI Plus by msi and i have another deal for 100 dollars for 16 gb of g.skill ripjaws V 4x4 kit at 3200Mhz. would this be a good little setup? and if i get it what kind of OC would you do for like a 4.4 or a 4.5 Ghz on a 280 Rad? Thanks in advance!

Why not? I would if i didn't have one already.
A z270 would be a fine choice for it, so would any z170. If the RAM is CAS/CL of 14 and its DDR4 than yeah that would be good too.

You can get that level of OC on air without a problem. Mine is at 103x45 on air in a cramped ITX low airflow case.

16/3200*1000=5ns
14/3200*1000=4.375ns
It isn't that big of a deal.
You wouldn't notice .63ns but faster is of course better.

I use an offset but it peaks around 1.37v under full load. I could probably decrease it a bit but, not really worried about it. I'll put a heavy OC on it if i ever need the power.
