A large problem with my laptop

My Lenovo laptop of about a year has recently started to act strange. Whenever the D or R key is pressed on the keyboard, the current application I have will close, and if there is no application to close, the computer will ask if I want it to shut down, sleep, or restart. To make matters worse, this will occasionally happen without any input from me. The F4 key, which would normally quit out of an open application also does not work, it does nothing when pressed.

I have tried restarting, unplugging, turning off for a while, just letting it sit there, and even completely restarting the thing from scratch, going back to the original factory settings and nothing.

I have no idea why this is happening and it is interrupting with my daily life and work, and I'm wondering if there is a fix to it.

Solution
Pretty sure it's a hardware issue if you did reset it. Could be virus or some key config software. If by resetting the laptop you mean reinstalling Windows, then software couldn't be the problem. If you haven't, run a virus scan and check installed apps for something that might change keyboard layout.

If neither is the problem, you'll probably have to return the laptop for replacement. One more thing you should try is connecting a USB keyboard and see if the same problem occurs then - if it does, then it's probably a software issue. If it doesn't your laptop keyboard is messed up, and you should send it to the company for fixing/replacement.
