To answer your thread body's question, depends, what sort of titles do you intend to tax the system with? Make and model of your monitor that you'd be taxing the GPU with?

As for your specs, a PC is built with more than just the processor, GPU and ram. I presume you're buying the system second hand/used? If so, please list the specs, like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

If the system is listed on a site, please pass on the link.

It depends what games you're wanting to play. CPU cooler "noctua" isn't much use. The 2060 isn;t exactly powerful and there 3700X is old and on a dead platform but can be alright if the price is right.

Ultimately it depends on what games you're playing at what res and settings and what you pay for the parts.

Is the current build you mentioned your pc ?

32gb is plenty
Also going to 5700x won't break the bank but will give you a good uplift.

Budget wise a 2060 super is fine for 1080p. So is 2060 owned both myself but the super is far superior there are plenty of used 2070 out there as well on cheap.

Though if your only casual and don't want to break the bank but something newer I would recomend 3060 12gb as they can be quite cheap

Other cards when you can find them 6800 xfx amd 16gb can be found in the wild but they are huge so would need to know your case size.

Would an AMD 3700x CPU and an RTX 2060 GPU be a decent match with 32 gb of ram? For gaming?

Yes, the combination of an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor, RTX 2060 GPU, and 32 GB of RAM is quite suitable for gaming.

Processor: The Ryzen 7 3700X has 8 cores and 16 threads, which provides good performance in most modern games.

GPU: The RTX 2060 is a powerful graphics card that can handle gaming at high settings in 1080p and even 1440p in many cases.

RAM: 32 GB of RAM is more than enough for most games, providing good multitasking and comfort in background programs.
