Hello all.

OK. I just want to make sure it not my hardware.
While playing GR breakpoint or MWII the games crash after a while of gaming. NOW it is not all the time which is why I assume it is the game and POS windows 11.

My specs are in the sig.

My 12700k gets to about 83 degrees celsius while gaming and my 6950xt does not go above 63. Are these temps normal?

This is my case:

Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL ROG Certified (White) ATX Full Tower Gaming Computer Case (O11D XL-W)

4.8 out of 5 stars 1,936

Plus I have a lian li aio on the CPU. 3 intakes and 4 exhausts.

Any ideas?

Thx

im not sure 83c is great under gaming loads ( its not cause to worry that its going to hurt the cpu )
what aio are you using ?
what percentage of cpu usage are you getting while gaming ?

for refence my 7800x3d never really gets over 60c while gaming in most resolutions with little cpu utilization but in cinebench r23 all core it will hit 82 83c at 100% utilization !!

just seems a bit odd is all !!

Well I might have overlooked something. The max on hwmonitor was 83 BUT it was running anywhere between 60 and 65 and no more. I think I am good. I am pretty sure it is not a hardware issue but a windows 11/certain games issue. Thank you.

The 12700K spec allows it to run at temperatures up to 100C. It's one of the new breed of hotter CPUs. 83C is nothing to get worried about.

My 7950X runs in the low nineties Centigrade under a Noctua NH-D15 for up to 36 hours continuously during video rendering, in a Lian Li Super Silent case. My CPU is only rated at 95C before it throttles whereas your 12700K will do 100C.
