A Monitor Question

Hi,
I am building a PC next week, and I wanted to ask a question about my monitor, the ASUS MX239H. Does it come with a wire to connect with the case, or do I have to purchase separately? Does it come with a HDMI cable?

According to newegg it comes with a VGA cable and a DVI-HDMI cable so that should allow you to connect it to your system.

Also, if you don't explicitly need an IPS monitor you can do better for less.

why talk somebody out of a good screen?

Because marketing people always try to sell features that you don't really need. If you don't need the color reproduction of an IPS screen then is the MX239H 30% better than the VX238H would be? Its 30% more expensive.

Many people just get upsold into features that, while nice, add zero value to the product for them. Does my mother need 8GB of RAM in a desktop to browse the internet, play solitaire and watch netflix? Nope. Is 8GB better than 4GB? Yes. Does it add any useful value to the product for the usage case? Nope

gotta remember............ out of all the hardware we ( most of us buy )....... we only buy 1 monitor and sit behind it for years. my next one will have a better screen,( tn now )........... soon as IPS monitors come in 1920x1200...........keep hoping.

IPS monitors do come in IPS at about $200.
I entirely agree, buy the best quality monitor you can afford. You will be looking at it for a long time.
