Hey there!

I'm preparing to build my first PC myself, and i wish to do a bench test before assembly.

I've gone through a number of guides or videos and articles that mention bench testing, but none of them actually mentioned this one thing:

After i'm done and the post was okay, none of the components seems to be faulty to the point the system just won't post...how do i power the system down?
I mean, pulling the plug or flipping the switch on the PSU is just generally a bad idea, so i can't imagine that being the answer here. You don't have an OS yet, you only reach the BIOS after posting.

So what is the correct method of powering the still-out-of-the-case system down? (Aside from going all-out on the test and actually installing the OS while it's still out of the case.)

Thanks for any answers!

Cheers

Oh, so it won't actually mess up the BIOS if power suddenly cuts? One can never stop learning, i guess.

Thanks for clearing that up!
