A new way to kill yourself

After having searched for a decent 4 socket bow the last few day, my
Rabies Druid finally got his hands on a Blade Bow. Even superior, build
in 15% enhanced damage. So right after I had found it, I had to mule
over the runes for Harmony.

I got only 233% ed (range is 200-275) and even worse, +2 to Valkyrie. Doh.

To try out the Valk and the Revives, I had to pass the bow over to my
Pala, the Druid does not have enough dex for the bow. I moved to the
Frigid Highland waypoint (NM) - this bow made short work of Eldrich in
combination with lvl 21 Fanticism. Time to raise a few Revives. But -
what's that? Who hurts my Pala so bad? Some kind of lag or what, as
there were no more monsters on the screen?

After some more analysis, I found out that casting the Revive spell is
the cause. One cast is worth around 140 hit points. 8 Revives raised in
succession will kill him!

PS: So what will the death message say? I play HC, so I'm not eager to
find this out 😉.

....?

....how come casting revive hurts you...? I never had that problem with
my necrozon...

It seems to happen only with a Pala. I could confirm this effect with a
different Pala. Not with an Assassin and a Barb though.

Hmm, weird. Could be explained from a role-playing POV (Pallies don't
like doing evil stuff), but I don't remember when Blizzard last thought
about role-playing. ;-)

Oh yes, of course! So it was intended 😉.
