A newb seeking wisdom. SOLVED!!!!!

Dear Tomshardware.

I have always been interested in gaming and crafting- and now is the time to make my own build. Therefore I would love a quick answer to if these certain items will match. I'm not experienced in all this knowledge, and therefore Im seeking your wisdom. Im hoping you can give me a quick answer and perhaps a tip on the build.
Listed below is the items Im thinking of using:

Intel Core i7-8700K Processor

Corsair Hydro Series H100i v2 CPU Cooler


ASUS ROG Strix Z370-E Gaming, S1151


Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000MHz 16GB

You should get a 1440p/144hz monitor to pair with it for best gaming experience.

Everything looks good but I'd probably get a different model of that GPU, the blower style GPU's tend to run quite warm.

A good observation above by Wildcard. Get one of the aft variants from Asus/EVGA/MSI/Zotac/Gigabyte.

I think it mean aftermarket, pretty much any of those brands listed above with a dual or triple fans on the GPU will cool it much better then the model you chose.

Aftermarket I meant. Just a naming convention terminology.
Basically get one of the cards with dual or triple fans as they can give you better cooling over time.

To your information I ended up buying the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 11GB Ti Gaming OC and now hope it will demolish all tasks given 🙂

Much better choice, you'll like the 1080 ti, I have one and it dominates gaming from my 2560x1080P/7hz ultrawide up to my 4K/60hz HDR HDTV.

If it does run hot (it shouldn't) download MSI Afterburner and create a custom fan curve.
