I've stumbled into this confusing world mumbling 'graphic cards' in an annoying voice, like that kid out of 'The Wizard'.
A 2005 computer, hasn't been up to much (or anything at all) as far as gaming has been concerned.

Model: iQon.ie 865G7MF rev1.0
Motherboard: Foxconn 8657MF-series
2.80 gigahertz Intel Pentium D (Dual Core)
496 Megabytes Usable Installed Memory
3 PCI, 1 AGP slot

And the integrated graphics card, if I recall, is ' Intel (R) eXtreme 2 '.
Extemely poor, that is.
I've trying to look through the resources on this site using my limited knowledge, to some marginal success.
I intend to buy 1GB of DDR2 RAM (£5, says amazon) , giving me 1.5GB ram.
Not looking good? My only comfort is to hear that the processor is good.

Here's the stitch. I want to be able to play games of around the benchmark of those in the orange box in mid-to-high settings, but my budget is very limited and undeterminate. Around £20-to-£30 would be managable, and I intend to buy second hand, so a few suitable cards would be ideal, since I will likely not have a flat pick of everything on what I hear is the limited range of AGP cards.
I'll be carrying on looking, but if this position rings any bells, or the price I hope for is simply not going to happen, I would appreciate any input.
If I should supply more information about my PC, please inform me.

Oh wow, that's a tough price range to work with... Um, maybe a Radeon HD 4650? Anything less then that wont get you what you're looking for performance-wise out of Orange Box. :/

Edit:
After looking into it a bit, I forgot how expensive newer cards are on AGP. You might have to go with a 3650 like this one if you wanna go AGP, but you'll be stuck with GDDR2.

Are you sure one of those PCI slots isn't a PCIE 2.0? If they are you could get a 4650 at the price you want
