Platform - O/S Win XP Pro
MOBO - ECS K8T890-A MOBO
Monitor - HP P1100
Graphics / Display - 1280 x 1024 px [60Hz] ; GEForce 6200 Turbocache
I changed a storage disk on a PC desktop. On reboot my Monitor display appeared with a pin-cushion distortion. Hard to believe that there is any meaningful correlation with the disk change. The available monitor based menu options - i.e. geometry and others, have been apparently inadequate to make full corrective changes. A couple of times, on reboot during the POST, the display information appeared in low resolution and very large font type, overlapping as in a roll over and somewhat mottled in appearance [This has not been consistent - the pin cushion is]..
Can the monitor cable contribute to this?
or can it be the VGA card.
Any 'alternate' suggestion of solutions welcomed.
Thanks!
