Question a problem with my monitor

Hello, I've cheap HDTV monitor with 768p and GTX 750Ti
when I plugged them using VGA everything is ok and it displays probably,
but when switch to HDMI as soon as the windows start the monitor (or TV) start get Intermittent displaying showing different resolutions until it ends up with No signal blue screen so i forced to switch to VGA in order to use my PC
any reply will be appreciated

as I said above i'm using 768p monitor and i was thinking to upgrade to 1080p
my question is would that highly effect my fps? example, if i get around 60-120 FPS in some game how much would i loss?

You can think of % of FPS loss would be pretty much on a 1-1 ratio with resolution. So if resolution is 25% greater, FPS would be 25% less. Not totally accurate but it's a simple guide to go by.
