Hello,

I have a couple of posts here as I decide what to do to get my computer up and running.

I got a new computer. The C Drive which the OS runs off of seems to be eating its own storage memory. I troubleshot it with support and it was decided they'd send me a new drive.

The ORIGINAL drive that has the memory issue itself doesn't look damaged. It runs fine. It is just that the storage memory is slowly disappearing even after we checked everything from reducing restore point storage to running other scans. The only thing I haven't tried is doing a system restore....like reset it to factory fresh?

I am not sure that will work. What are the chances the memory is disappearing due to a Hardware defect vs. an Operating System Defect (which I can try to repair with a fresh install via the bootup menu.)

Will this work? If so, what is the specific procedure called to do this at the OS level?

Thanks,
Keith
