Question A question about an i7 2600 CPU .

Hi!
i just bought a used i7 2600 cpu, then while i was about to install thermal paste on it i noticed that some of the golden circles on the the green side was removed; i figured that the seller mightve put alcohol on it to clean it.. i just want to know if this might affect the chip perfomance or cause overheating .

o for real !! i mean some golden dust was stuck in the top left corner before i wipe it off, made me think some circles was removed..

This is why you clean a cpu thoroughly before installing it. I even polish all the contacts using a pencil eraser before installing.
