I recently bought this monitor
(This is my first time hearing about backlight bleeding)

Is this normal? Or should I replace it?
When I play a video for example on this monitor
When dark/black scenes are being displayed I notice the edges always look brighter than the rest of the screen
This problem is less noticeable when a brighter scene is played

Should I replace it or would any other monitor have similar uneven brightness?

Solution
Read here about different configs for lcd led backlights. Screen uniformity is different for each of them.

As mentioned before - OLED screens don't have this issue.
The question is - does it bother you enough, that you're ok with paying for OLED?

Depends..
Does this issue cause enough discomfort for you, to consider changing the monitor?

Keep in mind - all edge lit lcd monitors have this issue (more or less).
OLED screens don't have it.

I keep looking at it and it's noticeable with darker scenes as I mentioned, but is it bothering me? Idk man
Maybe the main reason I decided to send this issue here is to see other people's opinion on the matter
What would they do if they had a similar problem

You mentioned that this is a general trait in LCD monitors, but I'm still not sure if they all would look that obvious
