Hi all,

Yesterday, I saw this benchmark: "How Well Do Workstation Graphics Cards Play Games?" on this site.

There was a lot of great information there and, as it turns out, they don't do so well.

However, is there a yin to this yang?

I'm looking for information on the flip side that benchmark!

Is there a benchmark on this site that anyone knows about that resembles this: "How Well Do PC Graphics Gaming Cards Edit Video and Perform on 3D/Workstation Applications?"

Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the reply.

I understand what you said.

I really don't know the difference, from a hardware perspective, between a 6GB Nvidia Quadro 6000 and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 690 (not in the benchmarks, but the next faster card to the 680 )

The Quadro, is a $3,000+ card. If performs at the middle or near the bottom of the gaming benchmarks.

Do gaming cards perform at the middle or near the bottom of the intensive non-gaming applications like Maya and Video editing?

I am trying to ascertain if i built a computer with (2) 8-core Xenon processors and 32 GB of memory as the base machine I how much difference would there be rendering a Scene in Maya vs playing Flight Simulator using the Quadro vs GTX 690.

Appreciate any help anyone can give.
