A question about my Hard drive.

Hello, I've recently just purchased the Asrock Extreme 3 970, and I was wondering if it supported my Harddrive.
I have a WD Blue 500gb 7200RPM 3.0gb Harddrive, and I have Windows Vista on there. Does my motherboard support windows vista, or should I get a new Hard drive and a new Operating System.

All sata are backwards and forwards compatible. It does support vista but if it is an oem version, the key will not transfer. You will also want to do a clean install because of driver conflicts. Depending on how old the hdd is, you should also be weary of it failing.

Oh alright, yeah my Hard drive is getting pretty old now. So il probably get a new Hard drive thanks!
