A question about Nvidia gamestream

I use gamestream(through the app called limelight as I don't have a shield) a lot at home. The experience isn't steller due to my cheap router though. So I have a question. If I buy a good quality router, will my gamestream experience enhance greatly? Or do I have to get better internet(currently 1mbps), because that's not possible as I'm using the highest plan offered in my area. But I can buy a good router.

Also are tp-link archer c5 and c7 good routers for this purpose?

Even the cheapest router will feed you 1mbps. You need better internet, that is way too slow, hell even 4g mobile data reaches 20mbps and more.
