A Question about sound cards

Greetings,
What is the important/relevance of sound cards? I managed to obtain a 2.0 Kenwood speaker setup with a equalizer and amp that ive hooked up to the PC. I mainly use it for uhhhh, everything, from gaming to music to movies. My mainboard is a DH67CL intel board with built in audio. Do i need to get a sound card which will potentially give me better sound or am i ok with integrated audio? Any help is appreciated. Thank you,

Really it comes down to if you want to spend the money or not. Are you a audiophile?

Interesting question the first one. Would i want to model myself to an image or an idea instead of simply the object? i dont think so. Yet there is always the thought that lingers that perhaps i am missing out on something. In the end i suppose it's something like human greed.
Yes i enjoy good audio but i dont obsess over it too much. Though there is always the 'wish this were louder or less of the buzzing of the speakers' thing that goes on.
