Hi guys,

I started a thread about a month ago, because my pc was randomly freezing and rebooting and I couldn't find the problem. I know it has something to do with EMI, because whenever my cell phone rings near the pc case, it causes the computer to crash.

You can find the thread here: Link

This new thread is to ask you if someone has had the same issue.

I have knowledge of two more people with Haswell/Gigabyte combo that are experiencing the same difficulties and I don't have a clue about what to do.

EMI interference shouldn't be possible inside a computer case. it's grounded and inside a faraday cage. Your problems are endemic of 2 issues. 1 you've got something grounding out, touching the motherboard perhaps, something improperly grounded maybe, or a faulty motherboard itself giving you a grounding issue. Or you have a psu on the fritz and about to die.

I have a brand new psu that I bought because I thought the old one was dying, so psu is discarded.

I already unmounted and mounted everything on the case twice, so I doubt something is grounding on the motherboard. ;aybe I missed something so I will check again.

Faulty motherboard...I don't know, three people with the same issue? I mean, could all three motherboards come defective?

This is driving me insane guys, I don't want to ban my room from cellular phones lol. In a lan party it sucks because everyone is using cellphones all the time.

Running 4670k on a GA Z87 UD3 and haven't had a single issue, I did blue screen once while playing battlefield but that hasn't happened again and I have never had an other crashes. My phone also did not ring at the time of the crash.

I would ask for a replacement but since I told Gigabyte that I found the problem, they haven't answered any more emails from me. this lousy company, I'm gonna go with Asus, which have never failed me.
The only two Gigabyte motherboards I bought on my entire life were a pile of crap.
I think I'm going to buy an Asus Gryphon z87
