I am having difficulty installing a second HD on my system. BIOS detects itwith no problems as the primary slave. But Then nothing in Windows. It just doesnt exist. DO I have to partition it or format it first? If so how?
THanks.

Yes, it needs to be partitioned, and the partitions need to be formatted. In Win9x/ME, you use fdisk.exe and format.exe (from the command line). In WinNT/2K, there's a disk manager in Start->Programs->Administrative Tools that lets you partition and format a disk. In NT, it's "Disk Administrator"; in 2K, it's a subset of "Computer Management".
